Hotel Royal sits within the Evian Resort, nested in forty-seven acres of lush woodland—to call the view breathtaking would be an understatement. It offers a stunning view of the Geneva Lake, and is an ideal spot for some R&R with its spa and wellness center.
Dating back to the early 1900’s, the hotel was commissioned by the Evian Mineral Water Company and previously owed its name to King Edward VII who owned a reserved suite. The hotel was then renamed to “Hotel Royal” after the King’s death in 1910. Since then, the place has held a rich history, witnessing both World Wars and was briefly converted into a rest home for Italian, German, and eventually, American officers.
